Pan-African Council

About the Council

The Pan-African Council (PAC) is the premier global leadership and strategic development organisation dedicated to elevating Africa and its Diaspora on the world stage.

Established during the landmark African Union Global Diaspora Summit in South Africa in 2012, the Council has since expanded its footprint to work across over 40 countries. Guided by its multi-faceted approach, the Council bridges political divides through diplomatic engagement; unlocks shared prosperity by fostering economic opportunities; and empowers communities with targeted social initiatives.

Mission

To galvanise and empower Pan-African leaders and visionaries across the spectrum of civil, political, economic, scientific, cultural and social disciplines for the betterment of society and our planet.

PAC provides an enactment path that informs the public discourse on global challenges and mobilises resources to confront these challenges through proactive and forward-thinking initiatives. To effectively carry out its mission, the Council necessarily operates at local, national, regional and transnational scales in order to provide a unified platform for networking, idea exchange, advocacy, consultation, conferencing, and project execution.

Vision

To become a key transformative and developmental pillar at the intersection of generating ideas, insights, and solutions in the face of current and future global challenges.

We fundamentally believe that a new global development paradigm derived from building our common destiny in the spirit of ubuntu (the African philosophy of oneness, interdependence, and interconnectedness to one another and the universe) as well as the collective African experience will be the single greatest contribution to humanity and planetary survival in the twenty-first century. By uniting the vast and complex diversity of Africans, both on the continent and throughout the Diaspora, we aim to advance sustainable socioeconomic innovations that further peace, ecosystem equilibrium, abundance, and prosperity for all.
